In the ever changing world of makeup, taking a class or two to refresh your skills can always be an asset. I love finding a new product or a new way to use an old favorite. If you haven't taken a makeup class with MAC Cosmetics I suggest you do! I always think of a learning opportunity as something to get excited about.
A few weeks ago I posted about my first experience with MAC Cosmetics makeup classes. If you haven't checked out that post I will link it below so you can check it out.
The last MAC Cosmetics Class I took was setup like school, student, teacher. Early on a Sunday morning 8 woman watching as two artist worked, explained products & we were allowed to ask questions. This class was a whole different atmosphere, imagine a MAC store completely empty with a station set up so you can do your own makeup. My favorite MAC artist Anthony was teaching the class with two other artist helping us.
As Anthony explained the brushes, products the two other artist helped color match each of us. I have to say this was probably one of the most exciting parts for me because I NEVER pick the right foundation for myself. I either end up looking like Caspar or like I belong in the Chocolate Factory!
It was nice to do my makeup in front of a makeup artist, they helped show us how to hold the brushes for best application & answered all our questions as they went around. Anthony and the other artist also encouraged us to step out of our comfort zones use colors I know I wouldn't use on a daily bases. I never use a moisturizing foundation or purple eye shadow but I left MAC that night feeling like a beauty queen.
We each received a MAC Techniques booklet to take home, I thought this was a nice gift for us to take home because it had face charts in the back. This book included how too's & pages to take notes.
Stop & let that sink in...
Your pretty much taking the class for free since you are getting the gift card back to purchase whatever you would like the day of the class. How amazing is that? At first I thought it was too good to be true but its not! Don't get me wrong this class I spent more than the $75 but your guaranteed to have at least that much to spend that day.
I don't know about other MAC stores or how they run their classes but the two I have taken in Union Square & that's how its been run. Kinks if your in the MAC Union Square Store ask for Anthony, I love him, he has always been so helpful & approachable. Also he did tell me he will be holding more classes! If you want more information on those classes or any questions about this class leave a comment below or email me.
Have you taken any MAC Cosmetics classes Kinks? I would love to hear your experiences if you have. Also let me know what kinds of beauty classes you would want to take or think I should.
