I had a really cool experience of getting to take a MAC class in the Union Square store. Picture this early on a Sunday morning the MAC store closed to the public so your alone with 5 other students & two artist. How great would it be to get alone time with you, the artists & all the products?
Momma's birthday was on the 23rd, this year I was having trouble thinking of what to get her until I found out about the class. Here's the low down on the class you purchase a $75 gift card to reserve your spot, that is giving back to you the day of the class so you can purchase anything you liked from what you were shown OR any MAC products you want. How great is that? Your pretty much getting a steal cause the class is free if you think about it & your coming with some guaranteed spending money.
Kinks you know I am adamant about being honest & telling you I am a hot ass mess. This class was a gift for Momma of course but I also learned a lot! I am scared to try a lot of products because I have a very oily t-zone but I was able to take home MAC's Strobe Cream & actually have a use for it.
The class was separated in two each artist took a portion of what we were to learn skin, eyes, cheeks and lips. We were all given sheets to take notes that had all the products mentioned during the lesson listed on it. I found this to be extremely helpful because with the exception of the lipstick Pure Pout I didn't own any of the products they were teaching us about. I will admit I never thought about buying skin products from MAC but I learned about the Strobe cream & how MAC's Cleanse Off Oil could possibly help fight the oily mess I become.
One of the biggest things I took away was how to use MAC's Fix+ which happens to be most peoples holy grail. Before the class I thought this product was useless & hated it for anything but working on my eye shadow. The artist taught me that you could use MAC's Fix+ before your moisturizer to give all your products a extra little something. I see such a difference in my skin & my makeup when I use it this way.
I found it amazing that this class did not focus on the typical MAC products you see everywhere like their regular line of lipsticks but instead the Mineral line that is understated. All of the products mentioned with the exception of Fix+ were ones that I don't see everyday on social media or YouTube. I loved that about the class because it is easy to get swept up in purchasing because your favorite Beauty Guru uses it.
My MAC artist is holding another class during the month of April if your interested in taking the class yourself comment below with your mail & I will send you the information. I would love to hear about your experiences with MAC artists, products or if you've taken a class!
