Lately I have been super obsessed with MAC & purple lipsticks.
Recently on a Saturday I found myself in my local MAC store. (Does that surprise you?)
I started swatching some of their lipsticks as my mom shopped around for something or another I never know what she's looking for. Two specific lipsticks stood out to me that day Rebel & Heroine. I loved the names of these colors as well as the beautiful colors. Both of them fell into what I was looking for something purple that would make a statement.
This color is a sultry color, dark berry with a hint of fuchsia that is to die for. Rebel goes on to my lips pretty opaque depending how deep I want the color to be I will swipe two or three times. One thing I love about Rebel is that it's long wearing - 10 plus hours of wear with little to no touch ups. This particular MAC lipstick is a satin finish so the formula makes it easy to apply.
Rebel is such a beautiful color I feel uber confident & sexy when I wear it. I've gotten a ton of complements when I wear it. Yesterday in fact I had a woman tap me on my shoulder to ask what was the name of my lipstick! This color is versatile so I wear it for work or date night.
Whats more noble than a beautiful purple lipstick. What intrigues me about this color is that in the tube it shows it looks like this stunning dark purple, when swatched on my arm it translates a little more magenta. When you swipe Heroine on your lips though, you get this beautiful medium to dark purple, to neon purple & even a true magenta depending on your natural lip color. This is a truly unique color in my opinion. This is one of MAC's matte finishes but I don't find it to be very drying like some others. This is a fully opaque color that I have gotten 7 to 8 hours of wear from. My only real complaint is that it leaves a pink stain behind that can be hard to remove.
Heroine is a beautiful lipstick & if you are a purple lover like me go pick it up! I can see myself wearing this color anytime of the year & feeling great.
