I realized something the other day Kinks, I buy as many tools for applying my makeup as I do actual makeup. I bring this up because I just realized Kinky Curly Me is missing tool reviews. If you have seen any of my haul from The Makeup Show you would have seen some of the brush sets I now own. I have BH Cosmetics Brushes, E.L.F Brushes & some from Real Techniques but I never really review them. Well starting today that's all about to change!
A painter is only as good as their tools be it brushes, sponges or their hands, they all guide the artist along a path to creating their next masterpiece. A sculptor wouldn't show up to work with just a paint brush, he would bring the appropriate tools for the job. Same should be said for a makeup artist and their brushes.
Today I will be reviewing my all time favorite foundation brush Tarte's Air Brush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush.
Makeup brushes are like an extension of your hands, a fundamental too for application if your a armature like myself or a professional makeup artist. That being said wouldn't you want the best possible tool for the job? For me its .
Let's be honest if your a beauty junkie like myself you collect... well hoard all kinds of brushes. Look at your stash how many blending brushes do you own. (Not that I'm judging) I see a beautiful brush & my hands are going for the card before I could blink. I never applied my makeup with my hands but I was a Beauty Blender addict. Eventually I branched out and learned the beauty of a brush.
I have yet try Tarte's Amazonian clay foundation, but this brush gives me an air brush finish with my other foundations. Lately I have been using it with Inglot's HD foundation in number 77. This brush gives a beautiful finish to the skin when you use it to blend and buff liquid foundation.
What I love about this brush is there are never streaks when applying any foundation. Another huge plus about this brush has about a 2 inch diameter so it applies foundation very quickly.
Also if your like me, I adore a versatile brush, this brush is great to apply bronzer and setting powder. This brush will do it all the work for you blending, buffing and layering.
Stay Kinky, Stay Curly, Stay You.
